Suze Orman, a podcast host and economist, believes that exchange-traded funds (ETFs) are a better investment.
Best-selling author and financial expert Suze Orman, who also hosts the Women & Money podcast, recently talked about the reasons why everyone should hold Bitcoin and how the next generation of investors may shape the cryptocurrency’s future.
At a recent interview, Orman made these remarks to CNBC, her previous workplace. From 2002 until 2016, one of the network’s highest rated finance-focused shows was her section, the Suze Orman Show.
In the interview, Orman advised everyone to invest in Bitcoin, defying the consensus of her peers in the financial advising sector.
Even though she is enthusiastic enough to purchase Bitcoin, she did express some apprehension by saying that she exclusively invests in Bitcoin ETFs.
I don’t think it will ever be a store of value or a form of money, Orman bemoaned, but given how much attention it has from the younger generation and how much energy it exudes, I think it could very well catch fire in the near future.
Owning an ETF, she continued, makes her feel better “because I would never want to see an FTX happen again.” “Never understanding how the wallets work and how if you lose your passcode, you never get it again,” Orman continued.
But in the end, Orman’s point was evident. “Everyone should absolutely have exposure to bitcoin,” she said in an interview with CNBC. Nonetheless, she issues a warning, saying that holders “gotta be OK with losing that money” and suggests that traders only make investments they can afford to make.
