One of my favorite cities in the world is Singapore. It is one of the greatest gourmet hotspots in the area and features an iconic skyline of contemporary skyscrapers and lush green spaces. There are a ton of inexpensive hawker stands in these markets, some of which serve some of the world’s most reasonably priced Michelin-starred cuisine. However, Singapore is pricey. Here, it’s simple to go over budget. Although you can get inexpensive food, lodging will deplete your funds.

I’ve stayed at a lot of hotels in Singapore over the years, so now I want to share my list of the top hotels there:
1.The Scarlet
My favorite part of the city is Chinatown, home to this four-star hotel that has won numerous awards. It’s split over renovated shop houses from the 19th century and a 1920s Art Deco structure (not to be missed, with its eye-catching red façade). The inside features luxurious furniture, vibrant colors, and a distinctive design. The hotel also has a French patisserie where you can buy fresh pastries in the mornings, a gym, and a rooftop restaurant and bar.
The chic apartments have distinctive headboards and colorful velvet chaise longues, among other avant-garde furnishings. The mattresses are comfortable, the bathrooms roomy, and there’s even a bespoke pillow menu from which to select your pillow. Flat-screen TVs, work tables, free minibars, plush bathrobes, and tea/coffee makers are amenities included in every room. Stay here if you’re looking for a more moderate alternative in Chinatown.
2. The KINN Hotel Capsule
Considered an elevated hostel, capsule hotels are a must-try in Asia. KINN is one of the few minimally designed, spotlessly clean hotels in the Quays area. Free breakfast is served in the mornings, consisting of a sandwich and fruit. Other amenities include a laundry room, a shared lounge, a pantry with free snacks, coffee, and tea, and a rooftop terrace with stunning views. One perk is that guests can take advantage of free fitness classes at a nearby gym and discounted rates at a co-working space a few blocks away.
Comfortable bedding, a foldable shelf and mirror, integrated lighting, blackout privacy shades, and power outlets are all included in the AC-equipped capsules. To keep your belongings safe, you’ll also have a personal locker. There are spacious, well-pressurized showers in the shared facilities. Additionally, toiletries are free. You can opt to stay in a private room with its own bathroom if you’d prefer a little bit more seclusion than a capsule. If you want to save money but don’t want to stay in a hostel, this location is a fantastic choice.
3. Park Royal Collection Pickering
Due in large part to its emphasis on sustainability, this opulent five-star hotel has been highlighted in numerous international publications. In addition to having solar panels for electricity production and rainwater collection, they also use green roofs to grow food and reduce heat absorption. Everywhere you look are also lush living walls and lovely gardens. You can take free classes (yoga, meditation, Zumba) on the beautiful garden skywalk. A gym and an outdoor pool are also available, in addition to a number of dining options. The breakfast buffet is great, with a large and varied range, even though it is not included. Also, the hotel is directly adjacent to an MRT station.
Large windows, a neutral color scheme, light wood paneling, and contemporary design characterize the rooms in this big complex. Every room has a large workstation with an ergonomic chair, a minibar, a flat-screen TV, cozy bathrobes, and nightstands with universal power outlets. The bathrooms are spacious as well and have a deep soaking tub and a standing shower with good pressure. Even better, and I believe it’s a great touch, is the separate faucet for filtered drinking water. In the center of Chinatown, stay here for an exquisite and distinctive stay.
4. Hotel Santa Grand
Situated near Joo Chiat, an area of town known for its independent shops, cafés, and street art, this three-star hotel is on East Coast Road. The modest and uncomplicated rooms come equipped with a desk, a flatscreen TV, and a free minibar. The bathrooms are spacious and equipped with a walk-in shower or a shower/tub combination, as well as a bidet. There are a range of accommodation options to choose from, and some even feature balconies or a skylight.
The hotel features its own restaurant and bar, as well as a stunning infinity pool and rooftop terrace for enjoying the views. Although there are many restaurants close by, breakfast is not provided on the property. This is a fantastic option for a low-key stay in a less-traveled part of the city.
5. Hotel York
Situated along Orchard Road, which is well-known for its numerous shops and shopping centers lining the entire length of the street, is this four-star hotel. York Hotel features an extensive daily breakfast buffet (complete with an omelet station), a fitness facility, and a large outdoor pool.
A rare find in a city as small as Singapore, the rooms and bathrooms are both very roomy despite being a little old. The accommodations come equipped with a desk, comfy bathrobes and slippers, a minibar, recliners, and a coffee/tea maker. Although there aren’t many novel hotels in the region, this one isn’t particularly inexpensive. This is, in my opinion, a great deal. That’s a fantastic choice for people looking for reasonably priced central accommodation.
The city of Singapore is fascinating. I always enjoy visiting this place. Even though lodging in the city might be pricey, choosing one of the hotels listed above can get you a great deal whether you’re on a tight budget or want to treat yourself to a luxurious stay.
