The Airbus A380 aircraft is still being brought back into revenue service by Etihad. July 2023 saw the return of the first frame, and as of right present, the carrier is flying four A380s. Operating Etihad’s in-demand long-haul routes from Abu Dhabi to New York and London, the fleet is fully occupied.
There are three classes available for the Airbus A380 experience at Etihad. In addition to 337 conventional economy seats and 68 extra legroom seats, which provide an extra four inches of space, the economy cabin has 405 seats in total.
The upper deck is allocated only for the premium cabins with business class accommodating 70 guests in private suites. The first class seating is given as nine seats the carrier calls “Apartments” with a separate seat and ottoman convertible to a complete bed.
The Residence, which has a seating area for one or two people together with a separate sleeping room and private toilet, is the last and most opulent item on the upper deck. All first class guests have access to the lobby lounge area, which enhances the experience even more.
The flight from Abu Dhabi to Paris is the next route the A380 will offer. On November 1st of this year, the Airbus A380 Superjumbo will replace the Airbus A350 widebody air carrier. This will probably be another storage airframe joining the carrier’s fleet, as the current timetable is keeping the aircraft that are in service quite busy.
Abu Dhabi to Geneva and Casablanca are two other routes that are served by the carrier’s first-class offering. Because the carrier would not be allowed to operate larger aircraft on those routes, they are operated by Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners. There are 190 seats in economy, 28 in business, and 8 in first class.
